Little Miss Kamry

It has now been two weeks, exactly, since our little girl come into our little family. It has been a very busy, but not so busy two weeks. It all started on July 1st when I had a routine doctor's appointment. Everything looked normal until Dr.Cox measured my stomach, and I was measuring smaller than the week previous. He ordered an ultrasound within 20 minutes and before the ultrasound Mike and I were already preparing ourselves to have the baby within the next couple of days, because of our history with Carter. It was almost the exact same experience as Carter just two weeks further into my pregnancy. That afternoon we tried to wait patiently for the Labor and Delivery to have a room for us, apparently every pregnant woman in Pocatello decided to have their baby and the same day. We didn't get a call until about 2:30 in the morning. Carter was all settled at Grandpa Williams so we grabbed our stuff and head up to the hospital. We were all checked in, IV started and monitors on by about 3 then the very nice nurse told us to try and get some sleep. However, she failed to turn down the heart beat monitor and it was extremely loud and then at about 4:30 the monitor ran out of paper and every thirty seconds there was a obnoxious beep to remind the nurse to change it. I am not very good at sleeping in hospital anyway, but this night was particularly hard.
        When morning finally came Dr.Cox came around about 8:30 and broke my water. Then things picked up. I asked for my epidural at about 1 then it was smooth sailings. Right before 5 my nurse that I had had since the morning checked me and said I was very close. At 5 my nurses shift was over and she introduced me to my new nurse. I think my new nurse had other people to check on and did not understand how close I was because she came around at about 5:15 and checked me and her eyes got really big and she said, "I think I should call Dr.Cox, this baby is going to walk out." She call my doctor and came back in and started to get things ready. Dr.Cox came in about 5:18 the nurse asked me to try a practice push and as I pushed everyone in the room said stop, don't push, because Dr.Cox was not yet ready to literally catch the baby. He then turned around and I started to laugh because he was smiling and trying to hurry so fast then I laughed again, and there was my beautiful baby girl. Dr.Cox didn't quite have enough time to get his gloves on. It was a very quick and funny delivery and the nurse as she was leaving said "I have never had anyone laugh their baby out."

Grandpa Williams!! He was so nice to watch Carter all day for us! Carter loves Grandpa so much and enjoyed spending the day with him!

The Fourth of July!

Mike has been working so hard on our yard this year and it had paid off it looks great!

We went to breakfast the morning of the fourth and then we drove around to look for the parade not really expecting to see it we found a perfect spot about 10 feet away from the parade. Carter and I were able to walk up and get some candy while Mike stayed in the air conditioned car with Kamry. Carter thought the parade was pretty sweet and loved all the horses and loud trucks and of course the candy. 

 We went to Dad Williams house for the fireworks! The wind was really bad so the Fireworks didn't actually start until about 11, which was really sad because Carter fell asleep and would not wake up for anything not even for the amazing fireworks. However, we were able to see people lighting off illegal fireworks which he loved. Kamry slept peacefully as well. It took a while to get home after the fireworks, but it was a perfect Fourth!

My parents came down on the July 5th and took us to lunch then watched the kiddos while Mike and I were able to go shopping and get some errands done. It was very nice to get out and get things done.

It was perfect because I was able to take Carter and go swimming with them while Mike, being the awesome husband that he is, watched Kamry. It was a lot of fun and the girls loved meeting their new cousin!

It has been such a crazy two weeks. It has been interesting to transition from one little munchkin to two. I feel truly happy and blessed to have our little girl here, safe and healthy. I will try to be better about blogging, but like I said I am now busy with two.

 

Kamry is so sweet and we absolutely love her so much! We would like to thank all of our friends and family for their support and love!

Tongue

Things are going really good for us lately we have been so busy. Mike had only a couple of weeks left of school and then a couple weeks after that the long awaited MCAT. I am still feeling really good. Today I had a funny thought I started to feel like the Violet character on Willy Wonka who chews the food gum and slowly starts to swell and turn purple, becoming a big, round, purple blueberry. However, my feet are the only body part turning purple (due to poor circulation and sitting in church for three hours) I am growing. Which I keep having to remind myself is a beautiful part of life. I love the fact that my body is going through changes I am truly blessed to have the amazing opportunity to create and carry one of God's children to this earth. In Sunday school today we talked about how all of our 'substance' here on earth is not ours at all but our Heavenly Father's, and we everything 'on loan' is what our teacher said. That made me think of our sweet little son and daughter on the way, and I thought I'm glad I am able to teach and nurture God's children for him here on earth. To someday return back to him in heaven.
Carter is doing really good we did have a little bit of a scare this last week. Carter had climbed up on a chair, as he does 50 times a day, and for some reason this time it had slipped and he hit his chin on the table causing his sharp little teeth to go right through his tongue. I am normally a very calm person, blood however bothers me, I hate to admit but its true. Mike, on the other hand, is not even remotely phased by blood, which is a good thing obviously because then his choice of profession would be a bit strange. Anyway, Carter's mouth was full of blood and it wasn't stopping. To me it looked like his tongue was cut all the way from the middle to the side and hanging as if he has almost bit it off, of course this caused me to flip maybe a bit more. After closer examination once the blood had stopped we could see the tongue was still attached and he had only bit through it, and not almost bitten it off. He was a really brave and tough and cried a lot less then let's say I would of under his circumstance. The next day was probably the hardest because food and water irritated his sore and he is his mother's son and loves to eat, so he got pretty frustrated at times. Now it is healing nicely and he loves to show it off to people who want to look at it.

Carter's New Bed!

We have had a great couple of weeks! For starters Grandpa finished the bunkbed that he has been building for Carter and we moved it into his room, and he LOVES it he sleeps in it really well. He jumps and laughs and plays on it all the time. Whenever we go in his room he points at the bed and say, 'granpa'. We love it!!
Spring break was awesome we were able to relax and do a lot of yard work. Mike's Dad came over and helped us clean out our garden and now we are ready for spring. We can't wait to start planting our garden. We are so blessed to have Dad Willaims to come by all the time and help us. He is such a great part of our lives and we love having him so close to us. Carter loves being able to go and hang out with Grandpa.
Mike has been working hard and is getting ready to take his MCAT at the end of May. I have been feeling really good and this little girl is active. I feel as though I have about a million things to do before this baby gets here. This pregnancy has seriously flown by I can't believe I am almost 26 weeks.

Easter Egg Hunt

HAPPY EASTER!!

It has been a while . . .

I have no excuse for not posting other than I just haven't done it. Needless to say this post will be a large post of what we have been doing for the past four months, ouch! I can't believe it has been that long. In November we did the normal November activities Mike turned 27 and we celebrated Thanksgiving with my family in Idaho Falls.

December was a fun month as always we decided to go cut our Christmas tree down in the forest. It was so much fun Carter loves being outside it doesn't matter what we are doing so long as he is outside, making winter a bit longer than usual. We borrowed Dad Williams fourwheeler to search for that perefect tree. Here we are with our Christmas jammies on Christmas Eve in front of our forest grown Christmas Tree.

Some of you may know that Mike loves to do home projects. He is always finding ways to better our home and making it so beautiful. This is great because we moved into an old house with old grey shag carpet, purple carpet, green carpet, pink walls, pink appliances (which we still have) and seventies looking cabients. We have been so blessed to re-carpet thanks to Mike's brother, Steve. We also have been able to use countless tools thanks to Dad Williams. Mike works so hard and loves to do these project and I love to work along side of him and make this house our own personal home. But lately due to a bouncy baby boy and Mike returning to school and the fact that these project take money our home improvment has slowed down quite a bit.

But come Christmas break Mike got the bug again and decided he wanted to redo our cabients in the hallway. I was over the moon I dislike these cabients and couldn't wait to see how they would turn out. Mike did his research as always and we got to work here is the result!

Sorry I should know how to rotate a picture, but once it is downloaded onto the blog I have no idea. But you can still see the transformation. It is so nice I love them! January and Feburary have been busy and have gone super fast. Mike is working so hard in school (and doing very well) and working full time. He is a busy man, but is still an awesome husband and father. Carter loves when he gets home.

We found out last week we are going to have a girl and we are so excited to have another special spirit in our home. I sometimes lay awake and think about our new baby that will soon join our family, and I get giddy like a child on Christmas Eve. I know the challenges that comes with a newborn, but with those challenges comes sweet and unforgetable memories. She is due on July 13th.

First picture. She was very calm and didn't move hardly at all. When we had Carter's Ultrasound he was crazy and the tech had a hard time taking pictures, becasue he would not hold still. It is always so fun to see how far the baby grows in just a few short months. 

 Haircut time! If our little girl's hair grows like Carter's she will have long hair. We have giving Carter probably five or six haircuts. Mike does the cutting and I do the entertaining. We are getting really good at it. This is the only picture I could find post haircut. He likes to wear my hair bands on his head he finds them and puts them on all by himself. I promise I am not putting pink headbands on my boy.

I love this picture. This pretty much sums up our last two months. So much fun but tiring indeed!(this picture is pre-haircut as you can tell it gets long and crazy)

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. First was our carving pumpkins. Mike is so busy he started his but then had no time to finish it,. even if he did Carter climbed on the table and ruined it, so we don't have a picture of Mike's Pumpkin. Carter's pumpkin is the one that is full of the guts. We tried teaching him how to clean it out, but his favorite was picking up what we had taken out of ours and putting them in his so his is super full.  On Halloween we went to our Stake 'Trunk or Treat' it was so much fun and Carter loved going and holding his bucket up for more candy. A couple of days before Halloween I still had no idea what Carter was going to be, Then I had a great idea we would be a Mario family. Then for the next few days it was sewing and trying to get everything ready. I think they turned out great, take a look.
